Prem Mandir, Vrindavan

Vrindavan is an Hindu religious place devoted to lord krishna. The place is located in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh state of Bharat (India). The place can be easily reached via all modes of transport like road, rail and air. It is located just 180 km from Delhi and can be reached in approximately 3 hours. Vrindavan is a spiritual place for peace seekers. It offers a lot of religious as well as tourist attractions. It is located on the bank of sacred river Yamuna.

We planned our visit to this historic place in the month of October just after Dusshera. It was an weekend trip. It has wide range of facilities for every visitor like hotels, restaurant, local transport and market for shopoholics.

Two days itinerary of Vrindavan:

Day 1: we left bahadurgarh at 10:00 AM in the morning and reached by 12:45 PM. Drive was quite smooth since it was totally on KMP expressway and palwal - Agra Highway. Toll from Bahadurgarh to Palwal on KMP is Rs. 190 per single side and Karman Toll plaza at Palwal charge 90 for single side journey for private four wheeler. Total road was bump free and quite smooth to cruise at steady speed of 100KMph on KMP while speed limit is 80 on Palwal agra highway. You won't find any tea shop, restaurant or any stopping point on KMP. There is only one petrol pump,  that too only from bahadurgarh to Palwal side not on other side. So fuel up your vehicle well in advance. Although there are many black marketers who sell petrol and diesel illegally. So reaching to vrindavan is easy and hassle free.

Next is where to stay:

There are lots of hotels in vrindavan from budget hotel to business class. Room charges of hotel depends on the proximity of nearest tourist attractions. We booked our hotel just at walking distance from Prem Mandir. Hotel had ample parking space and good vibes. Food was quite expensive and not that tasty. There are lots of food options in near by.

Prem Mandir

Prem Mandir is one of the main attraction of Vrindavan tourist. It is located outside the main city still too much crowd can be seen around it. Including Prem Mandi, most temples in vrindavan are closed for devotees in afternoon from 12 to 4 PM. So you will find a heavy rush in evening time. Prem Mandir looks mesmerizing in the lights and everyone visiting Prem Mandir must see it after sunset.

We visited vrindavan mainly for the Prem Mandir. There are many more temples and places to visit.

Banke Bihari temple is another most hotspot for tourists and devotees. Being centrally located in the heart of city. It is very crowded specially during weekends. We happened to be there on Sunday so there was so much crowd that we somehow managed to escape out of the rush.

Nidhi Van is another crowed places we find there. While Shah ji temple just next to Nidhi van is an amazing and beautiful tourist place which everyone must visit. It is really an peaceful place.

We visited most of these places on e-rickshaw. Because there is no parking space for outsiders vehicles and roads are too narrow in the city core.

There is new vaishno Devi temple being built in outskirts of the city. We missed that.

Overall vrindavan is recommended for all religious and spiritual travellers.
